Lao Lianben is a Filipino visual artist born April 21, 1948.
In the 1960’s, Lianben began using found objects and indigenous materials in assemblages, by superimposing twigs and small branches on etched wood panels. His work often emphasizes this contrast between organic shapes and geometric ordering, creating minimalist “Zen” artworks.
